BASK's Brush Park club runs a community Finnish sauna at a 194°F setpoint and four single person cold plunges tuned from 50°F down to 37°F.

Two people started cold plunging on their own Brush Park rooftop, decided Detroit was missing something, and spent two years building the room they wanted. BASK is what came of it. One dark timber hot room with pale tiered benches on three sides and a stone bed running down the center of the floor. Four cold tubs, each held at a different temperature, so you choose the round rather than the round choosing you. A patio off the bathing floor for the part where you sit and do nothing. Sessions run two hours, which is long enough to stop treating the cold like a dare and start treating it like a cycle. One hot room, and where you sit is the dial BASK heats one room and heats it hard.

A single dark timber hot room with pale tiered benches on three sides, windows onto the plunge floor and the patio, and a long stone bed set into the middle of the floor.
