Terme Merano puts a full sauna area in the middle of a town, inside the glass block at the centre of Merano with the mountains right behind it. The rooms are regional in a way that is not decorative: a bio hay sauna built on South Tyrolean hay harvesting, and a honey steam bath that runs an infusion and cleansing treatment with local honey. The cooling is the other half of the design, including a snow room and snow showers. Two kinds of heat The Finnish side is hot and big: an outdoor Finnish sauna at 90 to 100°C with 10 percent humidity that takes up to 100 people, and a smaller indoor one at 85 to 90°C. The South Tyrolean rooms run gentler and wetter.
