Good Hot
Good Hot runs five hand-built saunas on the Point San Pablo shoreline in Richmond, with a beach for cold plunging in the bay and communal quiet sessions.
Good Hot is what happens when sauna culture is built by hand instead of bought: five timber saunas standing at Terminal 4 on Point San Pablo, the far, quiet end of Richmond's shoreline, each with its own seating arrangement, natural light and stoops for lounging. The heat runs serious and the cold is the San Francisco Bay itself, reached down a short stairway to a small beach below the saunas. The project's politics are part of the offer: weekday communal sessions keep a low seat price, and reduced-rate visits for low-income QTBIPOC guests are a standing programme, not a promotion.
Five hand-built saunas: seats about 8. Five timber saunas at Terminal 4, each with different seating, natural light and decks, above the beach used for bay plunges.. Listed amenities: Lake plunge, Cool-down deck, Parking, Social sauna sessions.
Listing type: Community sauna. Access: Reservation. Listed capacity: Five saunas of about eight seats each. Cold plunge: The bay itself: a small beach below the saunas, reached by a short stairway.. Book private saunas or communal weekday seats on Good Hot's own site; sessions open up to twenty-one days ahead and the communal quiet-sauna slots sit at the edges of the day.
