Nordic Heat is a one-trailer mobile sauna working out of Independence, on the western edge of the Twin Cities. They tow a red, cedar-lined, wood-fired sauna to wherever you want to sweat — a driveway, a backyard, a frozen lakeshore — light the fire, and come back at the end to haul it away. In their own words: "We deliver the sauna, firewood, and serious heat — right to your doorstep. All you have to do is show up and sweat it out." Inside is a wood-burning kiuas with stones you can throw water on, L-shaped cedar benches on two tiers, and large windows facing out at whatever season you booked into.

Listed capacity: The operator says it comfortably seats 6–8 people on L-shaped bench seating over two tiers. The trailer is roughly 8.5 ft wide by 16 ft long including the tongue, so it needs a reasonably flat spot — they say a driveway, backyard or field all work. Hours: No fixed hours — sessions are scheduled around your date and time when you book. They say they arrive 1–1.5 hours before your session to park the trailer and start the fire, then return afterwards to break it down and tow it away. Booking is a request form on their own site rather than a live calendar — you pick a date, session length and guest count and give the address you want the trailer delivered to.
