Nordic Night is a community sauna built around a wood-fired Finnish stove with 450 lb of stone for soft heat and strong steam, in a room lined almost entirely with cedar. A host prepares and maintains the fire while guests cycle through rounds in the hot room, cool down in the open air or with water, and rest before going back in. The sauna runs year-round, and the founder, Nicole, holds a clinical doctorate in physical therapy. How a session runs Guests meet their host at the geodesic dome at the front of the property, wearing a swimsuit or saunawear, and are shown where to leave belongings and how to enter the hot room.
