Onari combines a mixed sauna, cold water and rooftop cooling three minutes from Kamakura Station. Friends and couples can bathe together in swimwear, then take the break between rounds upstairs into the open air. The compact neighbourhood setting makes it easy to pair a session with a day exploring Kamakura. Steam below, open air above The sauna uses two forms of steam and a dedicated fresh-air intake. Its distinctive in-room shower, called “human löyly,” adds another way to experience the heat. Cold water is on the second floor; the rooftop is the place for an outdoor rest.
