Wood-fired mobile saunas delivered overnight to beaches, riverbanks and cabins around Seward, Alaska, with mountain views from the bench.

Seward Saunas hauls a wood-fired sauna to wherever you want to sweat on the Kenai Peninsula — a black-sand beach with the mountains rising across the water, a gravel bar beside a glacier river, the yard of the Airbnb you rented. Their own photos show what that looks like: a cedar-lined hot room with a stove set into a stone-clad corner, a picture window pointed at snowfields, and a trailer parked where the road runs out. The company is part of the Oz Lodge family of brands, run by Tim, Heather and Matt, who say they grew up with sauna as "a deeply embedded social ritual" and now build the units themselves. There are three, all handcrafted.

Seward Saunas: wood-fired heat. Heater: Wood-burning stove with a stacked-stone surround in the corner of the hot room. Their FAQ says no electricity is needed at your site because the sauna is wood-fired, though the units can also run off a standard electrical cord where power is available. Hours: Overnight rental — they deliver at 5pm on the first day of your booking and pick up at 9am on the day it ends.
