Wi Spa

Wi Spa is a 24-hour Korean spa on Wilshire Boulevard in Los Angeles: women's and men's bath floors, a co-ed jimjilbang with five saunas, a rooftop terrace.

Wi Spa runs around the clock at the corner of Wilshire and Rampart, on the edge of Koreatown. Come for a soak, ancient Korean style, as the house puts it, and stay for the scrubs, massages and facials. The building stacks four levels: a women's floor, a men's floor, the family-friendly jimjilbang and a rooftop terrace. The gender-separated floors hold the hot and cold tubs, dry and steam saunas and showers. The co-ed jimjilbang holds five signature sauna rooms meant to be used in sequence, a computer corner, a kids zone, a comic book library and a full-service Korean restaurant run independently inside the spa.

Oak-built sauna in the jimjilbang at 231 degrees Fahrenheit, used lying on the floor. Mineral salt room in the jimjilbang, backlit salt walls and a salt-and-mat floor. Room with clay imported from Korea, where guests lie under layers of clay balls.
