Koskenkorvan Trahteeri in Ilmajoki heats three saunas by a barley field, one inside an old whisky barrel, with a hot tub, a cold pool and a house for ten.

Trahteeri is the Koskenkorva family's farm and party house next to the distillery that shares its name, and its saunas stand in the garden at the edge of a barley field. The big one, the Aitokiuas sauna, is a once-fired room for thirty with about 1,470 pounds of stones on the stove, and it was once picked as the best sauna in Finland by Helsingin Sanomat. Everyone bathes together in the house's own striped cotton sauna suits, the Saunatrikoot, a tradition that started here last century so that women and men could sit in the same löyly without a second thought. You can stay the night in the Factory Manager's House next door, the former home of the distillery's director.
