Villa Panorama Saimaa

A lakefront villa in Taipalsaari with two saunas: an electric Harvia in the house and a wood-fired IKI in a glass-walled cabin on Lake Saimaa. Our own stay.

Most sauna stays give you one sauna and one way to heat it. Villa Panorama Saimaa gives you both. Inside the house there is an electric Harvia in a room of its own off the wet room, hot in the time it takes to unpack. Down by the water there is a separate timber cabin with a wood-fired IKI stove and a glass wall to the lake, and that one you plan the evening around. We stayed four nights in August 2026, the first stop of a trip through Finland and Estonia, and heated both. The lakeside sauna, wood-fired The sauna building sits a short walk down from the house on its own terrace above the shore, a low black timber block that is lit from outside after dark.

Lakeside sauna: wood-fired heat, seats about 8. Separate glass-walled timber cabin on its own terrace above the shore. Villa sauna: electric heat. Custom H-bench sauna inside the villa's shower room. Listed amenities: Lake plunge, Showers, Cool-down deck, Parking.
