A sauna inside your own hotel room is close to unheard of in Manhattan, and The Greenwich Hotel is the place that has one. Some of its Studio Suites, about 650 square feet with a king bed and a sitting area, carry what the hotel calls a small private sauna, opening off a marble bathroom with a deep soaking tub. It is sized for one, and a reviewer for A Hotel Life reported it got hot in a jiffy. Downstairs, the Shibui Spa is a Japanese-inspired retreat of wood, water and stone with a heated pool, steam and rain showers and five treatment rooms, but no sauna of its own, so the suite is the sauna here.
