Spa Castle opened in 2006 in College Point, Queens, and calls itself a four-season, family-friendly resort. The format is the Korean jjimjilbang: one admission, no reservation and no time limit, and a building of themed saunas, hydrotherapy pools, lounges, eateries and a traditional bathhouse to move between. The saunas sit together as Sauna Valley, each room built around a different material or light, from Himalayan salt and jade to gold and color therapy, with an Ice Land room for cooling between rounds. It is open every day of the year.
