Dogpatch Paddle Sauna
Dogpatch Paddle runs a four-person barrel sauna and cold plunge on the Crane Cove waterfront: hot, cold, sun, repeat, by the seat or the whole barrel.
Dogpatch Paddle is a paddle shop first, which is exactly why its sauna works: the four-person barrel sits on the Crane Cove shoreline where people already swim and paddle San Francisco Bay, and since April 2025 it has anchored the cheapest real contrast circuit in the city. The shop's pitch is honest about it: a waterfront reset zone, not a luxury spa, with the sauna at 180 to 200 degrees, the plunge in the forties and fifties, and Adirondack chairs in the sun between rounds. Swimmers cold-plunge in the bay itself, then cook back to life in the barrel.
