Sleeping Bear Saunas is Vlad Borza's Traverse City sauna company. It rents North Shore sauna tents in three sizes, from a tent for two to four people up to a dome that holds eight, and each kit comes with a wood stove and stovepipe, a portable bench and a basket of stones. You pick it up in Traverse City and set it up where you want to sweat: a Lake Michigan beach where fires are allowed, a campsite by a creek or your own backyard, in any season. Borza built his first mobile sauna in 2015 and co-founded the West Michigan Sauna Club before moving north to Leelanau County.
