Grandpa Mountain Saunas

Located in Beautiful Linville North Carolina, High in the Blue Ridge Mountains, we built our own mobile sauna for our home to enjoy on the frequent rainy, cold and snowy days that frequent this area known as the High Country. It has become a sanctuary ourselves, family and friends. We want to share this experience of comfort, relaxation, and health with our community and visitors in the area. The wood-fired sauna is made of completely dumpster bound and reclaimed materials on the exterior with Canadian western red cedar tongue and groove on the inside. Heated by a small wood stove.

Your experience

The sauna will be hot upon arrival. We provide water and essential oils to pour over the river rocks on the stove. We provide sauna robes, slippers and towels. A cold water plunge is available in a authentic claw foot cast iron bathtub!
