Austin Surf Lodge is the only hotel-style stay in the Austin area whose operator names a wood-burning sauna, and it built the room into a vintage Airstream trailer on the shore of Lake Travis. The lodge opened on Memorial Day 2026 on Indian Mound Road in Spicewood with lakefront cabins and suites that can be rented individually or combined for large groups, a spacious lawn with lake views, a private dock with a tram down to the water, two kayaks for overnight guests, a hot tub and a large lakefront fire pit. The lodge's own line for the ritual is sauna sessions that turn into lake plunges.
