This is the most serious sauna on any rental we have found in the Austin area. The host built a 16-foot hot room in imported Japanese Shou Sugi Ban, the charred cedar that keeps its color and sheds weather, and gave it an all-glass front wall that looks straight down the Hill Country toward the sunset and the ranch's wildlife feeder. Inside, a HUUM wood-fired stove carries 300 pounds of volcanic rock, which is what makes real loyly possible: the host describes it in exactly those terms. Ten people fit on the benches.
