Bathe
Bathe's East Austin garden runs three saunas, Finnish dry, wood-fired and infrared hybrid, with cold plunges, a mineral tub and a cowboy pool.
Bathe is East Austin's answer to the bathhouse wave, and it opened outdoors first: a garden on East Cesar Chavez where three different saunas share the yard with cold plunges, a mineral soaking tub and a heated-and-cooled cowboy pool. The founders' inventory, given to Austin Monthly, is exact: a Finnish dry sauna, a wood-fired sauna, and an infrared hybrid sauna with Harvia. The house's own instruction is the whole method: move between sauna, cold plunge and soaking pools as a deliberate hydrotherapy cycle. Phones stay in the lockers and the bar serves nothing stronger than tea.
