Working at a Bathhouse: The Jobs, the Pay and Who's Hiring
What bathhouse guides, attendants, front desk staff and technicians actually do, what US employers are paying right now, and how to get hired.
The figures below come from those adverts. They show what employers are offering right now, in the cities where they’re hiring, so they’re a guide to this moment and not an industry survey.

How to get hired
Go as a guest first. You’ll learn how the place runs, and you’ll have something real to say in an interview. Our sauna directory covers venues across the country.
Offer evenings and weekends. Those are the busy hours, and adverts ask for them again and again.
Get CPR certified. Several adverts require it or pay more for it.
Ask small operators directly. Many community saunas hire without posting anywhere. An email to a sauna you already visit can work better than waiting for an advert.
Read the perks. Several employers offer free or discounted sauna access, which is worth real money if you’d pay for visits anyway.
Where to look
New York City had the most openings on November 7, with 25 roles, followed by New Jersey with 9 and Los Angeles with 6. SaunaJobs also breaks them out by city, including New York City bathhouse jobs , and every listing links to the employer’s own advert. SaunaJobs doesn’t list massage or other hands-on treatment jobs, so apply to the venue directly for those.
SaunaJobs and SaunaShare are run by the same company. Pay and openings are as published by each employer on November 7, 2026, and they change often, so check the advert before you apply.
